Oberkassel is one of the pearls of Düsseldorf’s many districts and consequently one of its most sought after and prestigious. Nestling in a sharp bend in the river Rhine, the area is like a peninsula in the centre of the city. The district is characterised by imposing art deco villas perfectly harmonising with modern architecture giving it a unique charm and exceptional quality of life.

Oberkassel has a new addition: a completely new quarter on the site of an old freight station extending from the corner of Belsenplatz and Luegallee and running between Hansaallee and Greifweg. The quarter is a combination of residential property, offices, restaurants and shops. The high point of this new area will be Heinrich Heine Gärten on Hansaallee beside the Vodafone Campus.

Due to Düsseldorf’s excellent infrastructure the old town, the city and the famous shopping street Königsallee on the other side of the Rhine are all only ten minutes away. But Oberkassel itself has everything one could wish for with its wonderful shops and exquisite restaurants. Such as the restaurants and galleries on Dominikanerstraße, the market on Barbarossaplatz and, of course, Luegallee an elegant tree-lined boulevard that is the heart of this much sought after district. Here you will find everything you need for your daily life, but a promenade down Luegallee or a wander through the elegant side streets will also reveal a wealth of designer owned boutiques and specialist emporiums.
